It must be some sort of rite of passage for 2 year olds. And since Macie will only be two for about another month she had to make sure and get it in. While Jamie and I were cleaning up last night from our church gathering, Macie scribbled on the wall. She has been coloring for some time now, even using markers, and has never once scribbled on anything but the paper. And she knew right when I found her that she had done something wrong (amazing how they just know, huh?). Macie is not a terrible two year old, she is actually very good and has a very tender heart, so she was devastated when I sent her to her room. Hopefully, she will not plan on doing it again or any other strange two year old rites of passage (like throwing things in the toilet). Good thing two year olds are so darn cute!
FYI- Most of it came off with some scrubbing, but does anyone have any wisdom on getting black sharpie off the wall? :)

I can just imagine her face when you sent her to her room. I swear by magic erasers Gretch. I use them on everything!
No picture of the scribbling? I have an extra camera if you need it. Say the word and I will send it to you!
I love those magic erasers too, great for ring around the bathtub.
Mark caught his 1 year old scribbling on the laundry room door. When my computer is back up and running I'll have to share the photos with you.
I was thinking magic eraser...I love them. Becky, you are too sweet. I have a camera--it is my computer I am having issues with....so sad, no pictures for me until we figure something out.
So cute. I am sure she learned her lesson - sometimes you wonder what makes them do something out of the blue that they never did before. Wish you had a picture! The only wall writing we had was on someone else wall by our son!
I'd take the easy way out and paint over it.
Ahhhh! Over the past year I've painted every room in our house at least once. Now, all I can think about is the day Baby H will black sharpie our walls. I'm with Marissa on this one. If you know what kind of paint you have (or even if you can get it matched) I'd just paint over the marker.
I would have rather been a lip kisser! If only my Mama hadn't freaked me out about it : ). Those prim and proper mennonites....
I had something super important to tell you and I came downstairs just to tell it to you and I can not remember for the life of me.
Am I old? I will remember tomorrow and come back again!
Just popping over to see what word deliciousness you had typed up.... Thank you for always saying nice and encouraging things. You are a great encourager. Everyone should have one or two of you in their lives : ) Can you imagine 2 of you? That would be a GREAT thing to experience!
