i live in a house consisting of 4 girls and one boy who we all love...except I call him my soulmate and they just call him daddy. so this blog is just a teensy little glimpse into the amazing, "drama" filled, wonderful, and somewhat entertaining world of the miller girls...

Skateville in Burnsville--That is where I dropped my little Tori off for a birthday party today. Wow! When I dropped her off amidst the chaos of tons of kids, video games and those same old brown skates with orange stoppers I had some thoughts. My first thoughts were flashbacks to a roller rink in East Des Moines somewhere where I played the giant dice game, the limbo, skated to "Downtown" and dreamed of the moonlight skate. My second thought was that Tori was way too young to be there. There must be some sort of age restriction for entering that world. They just let her walk in- no i.d. or nothing. Apparently our society does not care about such things and they think it is just fine that Tori be involved in such activities. What is this world coming to? I am not so sure I like it.

tori totally probably moonlit skated with a boy- probably even heald hands! haha! i actually, i asker her if she couple skated, and she looked at me with a little gleam in her eye and said.....no! :) you can rest easy! she was too shy, she told me.
SKATE EAST! Good memories...Good times. I too remember the same things you remember about Skate parties...I also remember being so excited that whenever we were going with school we got to wear pants! It was the small things back then... :)
It does seem crazy that we could possibly be old enough to have children attending skate parties.
oh don't worry abs, I asked. They call it the "snowball skate" now (must be a MN thing). She skated with one of the moms.
and aaaaahhh Skate East- how could I forget.
I don't think I could have left the party. I think I would take a magazine and watch from a distance. I don't like this growing up thing at all! Not for one second. Love, Becky
